Eleonora Testeleca studied with E.Berzinskis and V.Klavins. In 1962 she graduated from J.Vitols Latvian State Conservatory, but in 1966 Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory where she studied with Mstyslav Rostropovich. E.Testeleca is the laureate of P.Tchaikovsky International Competition.

From 1966 till 1989 E.Testeleca as soloist of Latvian Philharmonic has performed in Latvia and abroad, she has made records for Latvian Radio fund.

Also E.Testeleca is a pedagogue of E.Darzins Music school and J.Vitols Latvian Academy of Music.

In 1991 she became a Professor of Latvian Academy of Music. Among her students are many laureates of international competitions.

E.Testeleca has also participated in different significant projects – she has been the artistic director of the M.Rostropovich`s Cello Festival in Riga (2001) and the Patroness and artistic director of K.Davidov International Competition since 2000.

Laureate of the Latvian Great Music Award in 2016 for a lifelong contribution.
